Y3 Building Stone Age Shelters

This afternoon, in Year 3, we are using natural materials to build a shelter. It has to be as waterproof and wind-proof as possible or our model characters are going to get very soggy later when we test them out!

Mother’s Day Assembly – Nursery

Thank you to all of the Mummy’s, Aunties, Nannies and even Daddies that came to the Mother’s day assembly. All children worked incredibly hard and Mrs Johnson and I are so proud! We hope you all enjoyed it and love your little presents too! Miss Smith.

Winners!

Here are our two winners from the talent show final which took place this morning. Our EYFS/ KS1 winner was Millie from year 1. Our KS2 winner was Reuben from year 5. They were absolutely fantastic- as were all the other finalists. Well done!

Hillside’s Got Talent

What a fantastic morning we have had. 9 acts performed this morning including children from nursery to year 6. They were all absolutely fantastic- showing great courage and talent. We are proud of each and every one of you!

Author E.R. Reilly Visits Hillside – Tuesday 14th February 2017

Hillside welcomed children’s author E.R. Reilly. Y6 – Y2 were inspired through his superb storytelling, giving us a glimpse into some of his amazing books. He will return to school on Thursday to sign any books that have been purchased by this date – a letter and order form has gone home today.
