Year One’s Fact Finding

Year One have been amazing historians finding out about the Great Fire of London 🔥 They compared London in 1666 to modern day London, sorting images and talking about the similarities and differences. See if they can tell you a difference based on what the houses were and are made from! They also considered different jobs and nobody wanted to be a gong farmer 💩 They’ve also considered many different sources of evidence that help us to find out about the past! They heard the story of Tom, who lived during the fire and thought about how they could find out more from newspapers, hearth tax documents (that showed how many fires different houses have) and diaries. They then put their computing and fire-fighting skills to the test as they played the online game – here is the link if you’d like to have a go at home 🔥 https://www.fireoflondon.org.uk/game/
