Snowflake’s Final Week

Ho ho ho Hillside Elves!

I was thrilled to hear you’d all been set an exciting task this week for my dear friend, Santa, and that I was mentioned in the special scrolls! Although I am not in your classrooms every day, I have been keeping an eye on all of you all the time with my nifty elf surveillance and I have been pleased to see you all working so hard – but now this week is for fun, fun, fun! Card making, food tasting, reindeer dust creating, Christmas baking – hope you all enjoy the different activities in your classes! Here is a new joke for you to try out – what’s green, covered in tinsel and goes ribbet ribbet? A mistle-toad! HAHA!

Here’s a little star relaxation exercise to help you feel calm when you’re home tonight to help you prepare for another day in Santa’s Workshop. I’ve heard on the elf-vine that you may even be having a special visitor tomorrow… I wonder who it could be?

Star relaxation

Lie down on the floor or bed with your arms and legs stretched. Imagine you are a bright shining Christmas star. Take in a deep breath and as you breathe out, see if you can stretch this star shape you have made into each corner of the room. You are going to relax each point of the star. Breathe in and as you breathe out, relax your right arm. Let it go. Breathe in and as you breathe out, relax your right leg. Let it go. Breathe in and as you breathe out, relax your left leg. Let it go. Breathe in and as you breathe out, relax your left arm. Let it go. Breathe in and as you breathe out, relax your head. Let it go. Let it go, let it go, let it go.

Your positive thought for today is ‘I am a sparkly star’. You really are a star – don’t forget!

Have a sparkly day!
