Non-Fiction Writing in Year Five

This week, Year Five have been writing a non-chronological based on their own dragons inspired by the book ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. Throughout the writing process, they have proved they are experts in the study of dragons. Also, they have been aspirational to include complex SPaG techniques such as parenthesis and relative clauses.  

Year Two at Gladstone Pottery Museum

Year Two visited Gladstone Pottery Museum this week. They explored the history of the pottery industry in Stoke-on-Trent and learnt about the influential artist Clarice Cliff.  

Friendship Awards in Year Four

In PSHE, the children have been learning about the qualities of a good friend and how to create positive relationships with others. We then held the BAFAs (best at friendship awards). All of the children received a certificate explains why they were a good friend.

Length and Height in Year Two

Year Two have been learning about length and height in maths. This week, they went outside to measure each other and the lines on the playground. They measured in centimetres and metres using a metre stick.
