Hillside School closed – Friday 2nd March

Due to the icy conditions of side roads and pavements – especially Field Avenue, the weather warning and the forecast for the rest of the day we have taken the decision to shut Hillside again today.

Coats & footwear for dressing up day

Due to the adverse weather conditions and those forecast for tomorrow, please ensure your children come to school in suitable footwear and outerwear.  There have been children in school today without coats and girls with bare legs.

Family Shared Reading Sessions

Thank you to all the parents and families who have supported our shared reading session this afternoon. It was so lovely to see lots of happy children enjoying stories and books with their families.

Go Wild Forest School Club Information

As we are predicted very cold temperatures on Thursday could those children who take part in the Go Wild Forest School Club (selected KS2 pupils) ensure that they wear lots of layers, e.g. leggings under trousers, lots of thin t-shirts, jumpers and waterproofs.  They will also need hats, scarves and gloves.  Thank you.    

World Book Week Theatre Performance

Well done to the children (and parents) for braving the cold and snow this morning. We are now all cosy in the hall watching a performance of Charlotte’s Web. This will act as a stimulus for the children’s English lessons this week.
