School Games Day

Hillside have had a fantastic School Games day, today. The children have participated in a range of activities such as multi skills, football, rounders javelin and parachute games. The children  have displayed a range of our school values and some were chosen to receive the special value awards.

Year One’s visit to Ford Green Hall

What an amazing experience we had! From meeting Samuel Pepys, pulling down houses with fire hooks, making marzipan treats and dressing as Stuarts we had a wonderful day from start to end! Ask your child if they can remember what Samuel buried underground to save from the fire! 🔥

Y6 visit to Excel Academy

Headteacher Awards – Friday 28th June 2019

Well done to the children who have been recognised for displaying one of our school values and were awarded with a Headteacher’s certificate in celebration assembly this morning.

Judaism in Year One

Yesterday, Year One experienced a carousel lesson based on the Jewish faith. They handled artefacts including a Menorah, made the Star Of David using lolly pop sticks and their maths skills, and found out lots of interesting facts about the Judaism. Ask if they can tell you who and what a Rabbi is!

Y2’s Punch & Judy Show

Year 2 have laughed their socks off at the Punch and Judy performance! We’re now on our way home with a coach full of tired children.
