Year 2 have had a fabulous (but cold!) day at Knowsley Safari Park. The children saw some of the larger animals on the safari tour and met some of the smaller animals up close and personal! Everybody has had a lovely day and gained lots of great facts about habitats and Africa.
This morning, the Year Three children went on a parallel and perpendicular lines hunt around school. They looked at pictures and tried to identify the different pairs of lines and checked their answers using QR codes.
Mrs Green, Mrs Pope and the cookery club children from Year Three have been baking their socks off this morning, making cup cakes and rice crispie cakes to sell after school! The Hillside Post Office is now open for business in the Reception classroom. The children have been learning to write letters, wrap packages for posting, weighing a variety of parcels and even completing their car tax forms. We are expecting lots of creative language and acting over the next few weeks.
